FAQ about e-invoices

With e-bills, the data is converted electronically from the DataExpert^® format to the PostFinance format, including an integrated PDF file, using the Yellowbill adapter and transmitted to PostFinance. Electronic transmission eliminates the need to type in any information (references, account numbers, etc.). E-bills protect the environment because they are transmitted without paper. E-bills can be imported directly into your own financial software for further processing, thus eliminating the need for paper archives. E-bills are secure, fast, simple and save resources.

As an IGH member, you can use the Yellowbill adapter. This means that you can create all invoices in DataExpert^® format. The adapter takes care of the conversion and transmission to PostFinance. With the introduction of automatic payment initiation, more and more invoice recipients are demanding e-bills. DataExpert^® enables providers to issue all bills in the same format, regardless of whether the bill recipient requests the bill in DataExpert^® format or via PostFinance. DataExpert^® provides the conversion to PostFinance format if desired, adds additional information in the process and also ensures the exchange of invoices and status messages between the biller and PostFinance.
